Permissions/Info for Genessia
No particular CWs for The Shadow Lurking Behind You besides the fact that she fought incarnations of despair, but that does deserve some CWs for the kind of thoughts they embodied.
In terms of permissions, go ahead and do whatever but ask first if it involves severe consequences. Note that Shadow has very strong mental defenses in particular.
Now some info about her. For convenience's stake, I'm giving her a physical body so she can interact with the physical world. In this case, made from basically solidified dreamstuff. This means she can still take on different shapes easily enough and don't really have vital organs, but I'm making her vulnerable to being killed by being hacked apart or other means of bodily destruction. Other than that, she doesn't have the standard biological needs.
As for what she is, she is a dreamling, a psychic entity that (usually) exists solely within the Dream World, which is created from humanity's collective unconscious. Specifically, she's a Nightmare, a subtype that embodies humanity's terrors. In her case, she embodies the fear of lurking predators (thus her name).
As a Nightmare, she can literally sense others' fear, subject them to illusions, enter and mess with their dreams in many fashions (she's advanced at this even for a dreamling), and she has on occasions manipulated sleepwalkers (a rare thing for her, she doesn't enjoy violating others' free will, so she'll only do it with a very strong reason). Overall, she's a friendly sort. She is a troll, though, and will absolutely scare and troll people at least sometimes.
Lemme know if you don't want to hear about depression-related topics, if she might notice something unusual about someone's mind, your character would have some kind of resistance to her abilities, or if there're specific ways you don't want her messing with your characters.
